BRITS have gone potty for the UK’s first legal cannabis Easter egg.

It weighs in at 1kg (2.2lb) and tonight was sold out despite a £18.99 price tag.

The hand-crafted milk chocolate egg has a trippy, marbled design. It is filled with 71 per cent dark chocolate buttons laced with organic cold-pressed cannabis oil — which lacks psychoactive chemical THC.

Makers Body and Mind Botanicals claim the egg can relieve stress and anxiety and even help with pain relief.

They said it contains “all the inherent, supportive wellness benefits of legal cannabis, combined with a comforting hit of decadent dark chocolate.”

They added: “It also makes the perfect treat for individuals looking to self-care over the coming weeks.”

Cannabis oil can be beneficial in a variety of ways, from helping promote sleep to boosting appetite and reducing stress, anxiety and depression.

The cannabis Easter egg comes in a green box featuring a logo of a woman surrounded by cannabis leaves and was available for home delivery. A 15g packet of the buttons alone with 25mg of CBD was still on sale last night for £3.99.

The firm also sells teas, balms and bath bombs with CBD.
